PERFUME MAKING CLASSES - FAQ’S
+ What precautions is TIJON taking in regards to covid-19?
In an effort to keep our staff and customers safe as Charleston continues to navigate the pandemic, we ask that unvaccinated customers please wear their mask while inside the store. Our staff is fully vaccinated but if you are immunocompromised and would like for us to wear a mask while you shop, please let us know upon entry.
In addition to washing our hands regularly, we sanitize our frequently touched surfaces and restrooms throughout the day. During classes, we are striving to maintain space between groups, and ALL materials are being sanitized between class times.
Please do not enter the store if you've come into contact with someone with COVID-19, or if you are feeling ill. Team Tijon will be continuing to monitor the situation in South Carolina and recommendations from the CDC as they are updated. Thank you so much for your support!
+ Can I join a waitlist if a class is filled for a specific date and time?
Yes! If you don't see the date/time available you'd prefer to schedule, please request to be added to our waitlist here: https://charleston.tijon.com/waitlist
+ Can I book a private class?
Tijon’s Charleston location offers privately hosted classes for a range of events and celebrations and has the ability to bring the lab to you! Learn More Here: https://charleston.tijon.com/exclusive-services
+ What is the main difference between Class 101 and Mix &Match?
Within Class 101 you have the opportunity to create an unlimited combinations from our selection of over 300 oils. In the Mix & Match Class you create three combinations to choose from starting with a base from one of our twelve premixed blends and adding three more oils to build your signature scent.
+ Can I reorder my perfume?
Yes, we retain your custom formula. You can go online at www.tijon.com/virtual-lab and login to reorder. You can also order your fragrance in a custom lotion, crème, massage oil, and home mist.
+ Can men make a cologne?
Absolutely. However, Tijon believes many fragrances, except for strong floral for women and strong woodsy-musky for men, can be unisex. In fact, one study reveals 33% of men’s fragrances are worn by women. It is the name, packaging and marketing often directing a fragrance to a particular gender. Did you know: Aramis, launched in 1965, and Old Spice, launched in 1937, were in their original incarnations, fragrances for women? Or that Chanel No. 5, launched in 1921, was the 1st popular perfume marketed to women? In other words, don’t focus on whether you’re creating a feminine or masculine scent, focus on what you enjoy and go with it!
+ What is your cancellation policy?
We understand that schedules change. For Mobile events, because a minimum number of guests is required to host the party, we are unable to refund your reservation because it may impact the minimums; however, your reservation is fully transferable to a friend or family member. For in-store labs, check with that location.
